Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Renewly Alerts ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Renewly Alerts.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload. You grant Renewly Alerts a limited license to store, process and display that content solely to operate the Service for you (including extracting expiry dates and sending reminders).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload unlawful content, content that infringes others' rights, malware, or content you have no right to share. You agree not to attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the Service.

5. Reminders are not guarantees

Renewly Alerts helps you track renewals but does not renew documents on your behalf with any government body or third party automatically. You remain solely responsible for the timely renewal of your documents. See our Disclaimer.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Privacy & your data

How we collect, store and process your personal data and uploaded documents is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for cloud hosting, database and file storage, authentication, AI-based document extraction, and email/push delivery. By using Renewly Alerts you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Data retention & account deletion

You can delete individual documents or your entire account at any time from within the app. Upon account deletion, your personal data and uploaded files are removed from active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renewly Alerts is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including missed renewals, fines, penalties, loss of coverage, loss of data, or loss of profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or — for consumers — statutory consumer rights).

11. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or network outages, failures of third-party providers, natural disasters, acts of government, or cyber-attacks.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Renewly Alerts is operated from, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the consumer laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
